The Fabric of Traders : An Interview with ablegendnq

We at Stock Streetwear aim to create a culture of people who are passionate about trading and want to incorporate their love of trading with their personal style. Let’s get into the new interview of our series, The Fabric of Traders, in which we catch up with your favorite traders to talk trading and fashion.

We are excited to highlight Abraham in this interview. Better known as Ab Krytpo or @ablegendnq on Instagram. Abraham is a crypto and options trader, stock market mentor, and content creator with an Instagram following of over 6K. We had the opportunity to get in touch with Abraham and ask him some of our questions. We talked about his journey as a trader, his “why” behind his trades, and how he hopes to uplift the Latino community.

What initially attracted you to the world of day trading, and how did you start on this path?

I started trading through crypto. I had no prior knowledge whatsoever, but as I delved into the world of finance, I fell in love with technical analysis and charts. Later, I went 100% into futures trading. NASDAQ was love at first sight—beautiful volatility with impeccable structure.

What attracted me most to trading was the opportunity to build my future by doing things right, without depending on employers, bosses, clients, or anything else. Just my skills and the markets.

Could you share some of the difficulties you've faced and the lessons you've learned throughout your journey? Looking back, would you do anything differently or keep the same process?

At a young age, I made mistakes that led me to spend over 10 years in prison. That’s precisely why I believe trading saved my life—it gave me a second chance to move forward.

I learned several key lessons during my journey:

  • Be mindful of who surrounds you. Your inner circle greatly influences the results
    you'll achieve in life.

  • Value and appreciate everything. It’s true what they say—you don’t know what
you have until it’s gone. When I was in prison, I lost absolutely everything, and that taught me never to take anything for granted. Be grateful for the sky and the stars, be grateful for the food you eat, and be grateful for the opportunity to be with your loved ones. Gratitude is the key that unlocks doors to blessings.

  • The worst prison is not the one that locks up your body but the one that locks up your mind. Many people live in constant fear, paralyzed, afraid to try something new because they fear losing or failing. Fail! That is the path to success. Dare to take action, move forward, and make things happen. Your dreams are just dreams until you decide to wake up and turn them into reality.

Honestly, I believe my process was necessary for my growth, and even though it was hell, it made me who I am today.

How do you handle setbacks or losses, and what strategies do you use to recover?

By understanding my statistics (KPIs). It’s impossible to win all the time in the market, but when you have a deep knowledge of your numbers and a proven system, you understand that losses and drawdowns are just another number. In the end, if you keep executing your edge, you will be profitable and consistent.

Detachment is key. We do our part of the job, and the market does its own. We won’t
always win, but if your numbers make sense, just trust the process.

In your content, you often talk about remembering the "why" behind your trading. Do you feel that keeping your "why" in mind has been crucial to your success?

In a profession that is so psychologically demanding, where you have to literally transform your entire mental paradigm and constantly face financial losses and the feeling of failure, if you don’t have a clear and defined “why,” it will be very difficult to persevere and stay consistent.

Your “why” is your compass when you lose your way and no longer see a clear path
forward. Your “why” is that reserve of fuel that will push you to go the extra mile to achieve your goals.

How has it been for you to be one of the few traders representing and educating the Latin community?

It’s an honor to represent Puerto Rico and all my Latin brothers and sisters in this industry. Unfortunately, this industry is filled with fake people who have little real knowledge of what trading truly is, selling an unrealistic idea.

But I’m happy to be part of a small but high-quality group that is doing things the right way and guiding people to become true professionals in this field.

Tell us more about Blockchain Legends. It looks like you have many surprises for your audience. What can we expect in 2025?

The Legends are my family! Since 2022, we have been committed to the growth of each of our students, and honestly, the results have been overwhelming.

2025 is the year of materialization for the Legends. After so much studying, I already have students who are dedicating themselves to full-time trading, and this is just the beginning.

My promise has always been to build the largest community of professional Spanish-
speaking traders in Puerto Rico and the Americas.

This year, expect a lot of educational content on YouTube. And for our community, we have ongoing challenges designed to push every student to improve week after week, with the goal of elevating their skills.

What is your favorite fashion brand? Is there anything specific you want to add to your wardrobe in 2025?

I’m not really into brands, but I do have favorites for different occasions. For example:

Essentials FOG for oversized hoodies.
Vans, Hugo Boss, and Palm Angels for a more casual style.
Lacoste and Ralph Lauren when I want to look a bit more serious and elegant.

But honestly, most of the time, you’ll see me wearing a hoodie and my Vans.

Finally, if you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice when you were just starting, what would it be?

Never stop believing. Don’t stress so much and learn to enjoy the process, because in the end, you’ll realize that success is not a destination—success is the journey.
